It's all the rage now, no doubt about it. Training training training.

That is the order of the day. Where once upon a time it was enough to have passion, now you need a credential.

The shift can be a bit dispiriting. Whatever happened to the loose cannon. The geniuses who simply "went out and did their thing"?

Yes, it is a little sad that life so often resembles a police state.

But for now let's look on the bright side. In the UK there are a phenomenal number of opportunities for you to acquire and refine the skills you need to make movies and to star in them.

Yes, it would be more fun to be shooting your film now or to be prancing in front of a camera than to be stuck in a classroom. But that is the way of the world. So get ready to go back to school.
