THINKSYNC SHORTS COMP/MUSIC IN FILM

Music publishers ThinkSync have just launched their latest Short Film Comp to link film makers with some great independent record labels.

Here’s the trick : ThinkSync are looking for films incorporating their music, using one or more tracks downloadable free of charge from www.thinksyncfilms.com

The competition is looking for the most skilful and appropriate use of the music within the film and the winner who gets it right receives a cash prize to be presented at a screening event and party in the summer as part of the Rushes Soho Shorts Festival during the summer.

The theme this year is '?' – as in What? - in case you are wondering. Doh?

The submission deadline is Friday 6 June 2008, so best to get cracking. For inspiration, filmmakers can check out the tracks on offer at www.thinksyncfilms.com

This year, ThinkSync is working with the filmmakers networking site ShootingPeople and all entrants receive a years free membership to www.shootingpeople.com

This membership has extra value now because SP members can also use ThinkSync’s catalogue of music from various independent labels for use in their short films outside of the competition. Each month, five new tracks will be made available via www.shootingpeople.com .
