CUTTING IT FINEShort films never have quite enough time to say as much as they might like ... particularly when they concern people about to die as in Last Night. This is a ten-minute film depicting the final moments of a relationship between an estranged daughter and her dying father. With difficulty both grasp the opportunity for reconciliation which, in turn, provides each with the release they have been seeking. Starring Rosamund Pike, Anthony Andrews and Christian Coulson, “Last Night” features cinematography by Nina Kellgren BSC and original music by Paul Leonard-Morgan. The film is director Abi van Walsum’s third short and producer Ali’s Silverstein’s first. "Last Night" was shot on S16mm on location at Hornby Castle, Lancashire and will be sent to film festivals worldwide. It was made with generous support of Outset Contemporary Art Fund, Fuji, Lee Lighting, Midnight Transfer and Ralph Ward. |  |
