"MR BEAN'S HOLIDAY"

Do NOT adjust the sound. This is rubber mouth Rowan Atkinson back in silent mode, proving you don't have to be loud to be funny.

In case you have forgotten, this is a post modernist film. Well, it would 'post modern' if it took itself seriously.

For it features blimey Bean making a movie enroute to the Cannes Film Festival. So it's a film about making a film and it's also a box office hit featuring a Festival all about Box Office Hits. How post modern iis that! Sort of.

it is all lighthearted fun, with Bean turning into a busker - not easy for a mute - to restore his dwindling fortunes and then being mistaken for a child abductor. A child abductor! Light-hearted!!! Yes, as it was all a misunderstanding.

Such malarkey is not everyone's cup of tea, no matter how earnestly Atkinson mugs up. But fans of the genre will find the antics comparable to previous sightings.

Those really hungry for such farce can enjoy extras such as 21 minutes of deleted scenes - and at least have fun wondering if they should have been left in - and 3 featurettes, including The Human Bean. A post modern title that.

Released on August 20, it retails for £19.99, with the HD version billed at £24.99. Of course, it can be downloaded or merely rented as well.
